Course Features

The Department of Microbiology was established in 2005 with 6 students. It was headed by Professor Amudha Sundari. The department has successfully reached 82 students, Which is now headed by Prof.G.Akalya. The department is well equipped with smart classes, laboratories to provide quality teaching and research opportunities for students. The department has produced 11 university Gold Medalist so far.

About Course

Our B.Sc Microbiology is three year undergraduate course in which students will learn the courses like Fundamentals of Microbiology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Molecular Biology and Microbial Genetics, Medical Microbiology, Agriculture and Environmental Microbiology, Industrial Microbiology, Bio Informatics, Virology, Food Microbiology helps the students to gain a sound knowledge in Microbiology. The high Knowledge based subjects and experience on experimentation in laboratory will help the students to reach their higher goals.
